Dear McDonalds,

Well, McDonald's, I suppose you're feeling pretty smug about your latest slap in the face to the Christian families in the US. Go ahead and revel in your glory and pat yourself on the back for your supposed "job well done". Then while you congratulate yourselves and celebrate your supposed victory, grab yourself a Happy Meal and take a look at some considerations you may have missed.

Have you considered that by promoting the Homo- lifestyle you are also promoting disease and death? What? Do you have an agenda to wipe out the whole homo population with your support? Because according to statistics (from CDC ) in the year 2006 there were 17,804 male homosexuals reported cases of AIDS in the US. {I'm not including drug users or high risk heterosexuals for the purpose of making a simple point.} That same year there were 13,968 adults and adolescents DEATHS from AIDS. It seems to me that to promote a lifestyle such as this would be to promote disease and death.

Then you should consider this little point. I personally have 4 wonderful children who will grow up and will also boycott McDonald's. You have shown that my family's boycott of your business has had no impact on your decision to support the Homo--- agenda. OK. But, my 4 children will grow up and get married. Then there will be 8. Then they will prayerfully be blessed to have children of their own. Let's say they each have at least 2.... so now there's 16 people who are buying Whoppers and no Big Macs. So you think 16 isn't all that many. I'm not the only Christian who has chosen to boycott your business. Did you realize there are an estimated 224,437,959 Christians in 2004? Of course not all of them are Conservative. So I'll take one group - Churches of Christ. In 2004 it was estimated there were 3,659,483 members of the Church of Christ. Some may not be faithful or maybe not even aware of your promoting this lifestyle so let's round off to an even 3,000,000. Suppose those 3,000,000 have 2 children... we're up to 9,000,000 now. There are also Baptist (47,744,049), Catholics(71,796,719), etc. many of which are against the homo- lifestyle. And their children will have children and so on. You get the idea. The Christian group is multiplying.

On the other hand the group you are promoting are... well... let's just say they aren't multiplying. God made man and woman to be THE way to multiply (reproduction,create new life...you know...babies). Men were not created to reproduce with other men and women were not created to reproduce with other women. That's just plain facts. You may choose to ignore those facts; but there will not be any "multiplying" going on. According to these statistics there were approximately 4,300,000 homese*uals in the year 2000. Admittedly we are comparing the year 2000 here with the year 2004 in the above paragraph. These were the most consistent numbers I found. So there is over 4,000,000 in the group you are promoting. After you factor in the obvious lack of multiplying (new life created) and sadly the deaths from disease..... The actual number of customers is obviously going to decline.

The general idea here is that you as a huge business are promoting and wooing a group of people that is substantially smaller than the christian family group to whom you have historically advertised. Our current boycott has not impacted your decisions and you remain strong. However, from a business stand-point are you sure you are making wise decisions?

My 4 children already know why we boycott McDonald's and wouldn't think of stepping foot in your place of business. Ever. How many other christian children are being raised in like manner?
If you continue on at the rate at which you are going now who will purchase your Happy Meals in about 10 or so years?

Might be something to consider...... after all it has been the average, middle-class, conservative families who have been your bread and butter all these years and made you the giant fast food industry you are today. We technically don't need you, but where will you be in a few years without us?

Contentment

English Standard Version

1 Timothy 6:6 Read This Chapter

Now there is great gain in godliness with contentment,

Philippians 4:11

Read This Chapter

Not that I am speaking of being in need, for I have learned in whatever situation I am to be content.

Dear Lord in Heaven, please help me to see all of Your blessings in my life and to be content. I have so much that You have blessed me with and yet I still find myself desiring more. You have taken care of all of my needs (and the needs of my family) and then heaped blessings on top of that. Thank you so much! And, please forgive me for always searching and wanting more. Lord, help me to learn contentment. In Jesus blessed name I pray, Amen.

McDonald's - It's Official

It's official. We are officially boycotting McDonald's. We have been ever since their first step into the controversial issues they support OPENLY. Now, the AFA has officially announced the boycotting of this company that has always claimed to be a family friendly restaurant.

Because I am a Christian I cannot support such a company that so openly flaunts this pro-homosexual agenda. Flaunting is enough to make me and my family boycott this company; but, when confronted with this issue McDonald's came back with that "h" word. The word that everyone loves to throw around when things don't go their way. waaaaaa...

I'm accused of hating these people because I believe the agenda they are trying to cram in my face is sinful. I'm a Christian. I believe the Bible. Sin is sin no matter what little happy words we use to try to cover up the fact that it's still sin.

I do not agree with the agenda. I will not support a company that openly promotes the agenda. This is my right. Just because I refuse to buy a Big Mac or a Happy Meal does not mean I am full of hate. I don't hate those people.

I do pray that God will have mercy on them and open their eyes to the truth.

The agenda and what it is pushing for is sinful and an abomination (KJV for disgusting - God's words - take it up with HIM). But, the people who are fighting so hard to make us all believe their way is the only right way; these people have a soul. A soul that is loved by God. A soul that no Christian can hate. That soul is loved and prayed for by many Christians.

That, my friends is biblical love.

Choose Your Path

by Steve Thoms All Posters.com

There are times in our lives when when have to sit down and reevaluate our goals, plans, and dreams. We need to do this every now and then because we can get so caught up with the busy-ness and cares of this world that we can get OFF of our chosen path.

Then there are times that we get so comfortable with where we are (spiritually speaking) that we don't notice that we've become stunted in growth. We're just comfortable and happy so we just go along with our days nicely.

It's a good idea to take a look at things in our life and hold them up to God's standards. His standards are the ones that count in the end so we should always judge what we do by His way of thinking.
One good rule to follow is to ask ourselves if I'm following God's will or am I following the crowd {the world}.

Jesus says:
Matthew 7:13-14 Read This Chapter
"Enter by the narrow gate. For the gate is wide and the way is easy that leads to destruction, and those who enter by it are many. For the gate is narrow and the way is hard that leads to life, and those who find it are few."

If "everyone" is doing it then we really should take a good look to see if "it" measures up to God's standards. The Bible says that the gate is narrow and the way is hard and few find it....
However, MANY enter the path that leads to destruction.

Fellow Christian, let's always take the path less traveled. We may be looked at as odd and different; but, thats good. We want to be different because we are on a different path. The way is hard but the end is worth it!

Hard work..

It's hard work being the family guard dog..

Keeping the family cat in line is also tough....

Once the cat gets up there, he gets really tough to work with! "Here kitty, kitty, kitty.."

Time to call in reinforcements...

If that doesn't work you can always just sleep on it....

Oh! It's such hard work being the guard dog!

Who's Child Am I?

Who's Child am I?

English Standard Version
1 John 3 :10
Read This Chapter

By this it is evident who are the children of God, and who are the children of the devil: whoever does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor is the one who does not love his brother.

My life proves again to whom I belong. A righteous life is evidence that I'm a child of God: however, if I do not "practice righteousness" I'm not a child of God but a child of the devil. On top of that if I do not love my brother (fellow Christians) then I'm not God's child. {Love is very important too. I'm going to devote a whole study to it very soon. For now I'm going to concentrate on "practicing righteousness".}

Righteousness is not a word that is used too frequently today. But, in light of the scripture above I think a good study of the word is necessary. According to 1913 Webster's Dictionary righteousness is: The quality or state of being righteous; holiness; purity; uprightness; rectitude.

Righteous, holiness, purity...

God says if my life does not show evidence of these qualities (righteousness) then I'm not His child... but, the devil's child!

That's harsh.

I wholeheartedly desire and long to be a child of God. So, I want to learn everything that I can about righteousness.

Look up a verse or two in the same chapter:

English Standard Version

1 John 3:7-9

Little children, let no one deceive you. Whoever practices righteousness is
righteous, as he is righteous. Whoever makes a practice of sinning is of the devil,
for the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God
appeared was to destroy the works of the devil. No one born of God makes a practice of sinning, for God's seed abides in him, and he cannot keep on sinning because he has been born of God.

Practice makes perfect!

I must choose to make "righteous" decisions- the way I live my life must reflect a pure and holy person who belongs to God. If I choose to practice living a sinful life; well, that makes me unrighteous....

English Standard Version

1 Corinthians 6 Read This Chapter

Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God?
Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality,
nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.
And such were some of you. But you were washed, you were sanctified,
you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.
My Saviour...my LORD.
"A Child's Prayer" by Jay Bryant Ward
Thank you God for sending your precious Son to this earth to die for my sins. I don't want to sin. Ever! I know I can't be perfect, but I want to to practice righteousness. I want my life to be an evidence that I belong to You. I am Your child. And, when I fall... thank you for washing me, sanctifying me, and justifying me in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by Your Spirit. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.

A walk and Neighbors

We have recently moved to the "country" and this is definitely home. We absolutely love living here! We love to go for walks just to admire the beautiful views.....

and country roads....

Beautiful wildflowers (and weeds!)...

When we moved here I found that I'm the owner of a fine clothes line!

We didn't really want a cat but one day this little guy just showed up at our door. Looks like he's going to be a great hunter..... Looks like we now have a cat...

We didn't really NEED another dog. But, this guy came limping up with a broken hip and a mangled tail. We couldn't just run the poor starving thing off!!

He's all healed and gaining some weight. So, now we have a new guard dog...

Yep, he's ferocious. And, bored. He goes right along with the guard dog we already had...

See how those wicked eyes watch her prey? Look at those massive paws! Well, OK... she's trying to get a part in a Mountain Dew commercial. But, she can be tough when she wants to be. Just try to take her MD bottle away from her. Yes, she's a guard dog too...

We also have some really great neighbors here. We have the nice people version neighbors; but, then we also have these for neighbors....

Love our neighbors!!!

I'm owned!

The Lord's Art.com

The scripture that I'm studying today is Colossians 1:10. I have links to CrossWalk.com so that you can look at the verse in their parallel Bible and compare different Bible versions. There are also Greek and Hebrew lexicons for further study.

Col. 1:10
That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God; The King James Version (Authorized)

"Walk worthy of the Lord" . Is my walk - my life - worthy of the LORD? This passages tells me that I should live my life (walk) in a way that is worthy of the LORD and is pleasing to HIM.

The command to walk worthy of the LORD is also stated in 1 Thes. 2:12.

Now, think about worthy. How does one live his life in a way that is worthy of the LORD?

The God's Word version translates Col. 1:10 this way: "We ask this so that you will live the kind of lives that prove you belong to the Lord. Then you will want to please him in every way as you grow in producing every kind of good work by this knowledge about God. " (hightlights are mine)

Living a life that is worthy of the LORD is to live in a way that proves we belong to HIM. And, if we are truly Christians we do want to live our lives as proof that we belong to Him. We were bought with a price:

1 Corinthians 6 Read This Chapter
6:20
For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.
The King James Version (Authorized)

and here:

1 Corinthians 7 Read This Chapter
7:23
Ye are bought with a price; be not ye the servants of men.
KJV

HE purchased us with HIS blood....

The King James Version (Authorized)
Acts 20:28 Read This Chapter

Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.
KJV

Our precious LORD purchased us with his own blood and that means we (believers) belong to HIM. So, now we "walk worthy of the LORD" because this pleases HIM. The good works that we do as we increase in knowledge are pleasing to Him.
He paid for my sins.
I want to be worthy...

He purchased me.
I want to please him...

I belong to HIM.
I want to learn more about Him (increasing my knowledge)

Prayer

Taking a look at the verse right before our main verse of study we find that this is a trait that is prayed for.

The King James Version (Authorized)
Colossians 1:9 & 10 Read This Chapter

For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Heavenly Father, Please fill me with knowledge of YOUR will and all wisdom and spiritual understanding so that I may walk (live) worthy of YOU; and, as my knowledge increase let the fruit of my every good work please YOU. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.
Let us never cease to pray!
Purpose
"Jesus Loves Me" by Kathryn Fincher
@ artprints.com
The main purpose of this blog is this: it's a great place to put my thoughts. I sometimes have so many thoughts running around in my head that the only way I can deal with any of them is to write them down.
I am also going to write about the things I'm studying in the Bible. The name of my blog is Heaven Bound and that's what it's all about. Living my life in a God pleasing way as I learn and grow on my way to my heavenly home. These studies are mainly for me (and my darlings if they want join in ); but, if you stop by and would like to join in too you are most welcome.
Currently I have a million plus scripture studies going through my head and I hope to get them all written down here. I want to take a scripture and truly THINK and MEDITATE and STUDY it completely to get everything out of it that I can.
In this way I hope to grow as a Christian and teach my Children as I go.
Your welcome to grow along with me :o)
Just A Little Talk With Jesus
Oh! My Heavenly Father,
I just have to talk to you! Where else could I go but to you my Lord and my Saviour. YOU of course know all that is going on here. I worry about so much these days. I worry about how people are losing jobs. Will we? My husband's new job, will it continue on or will it close down like so many other companies? What would we do??
GOD says: Psalm 46:10, “Be still and know that I am God.”
OK.
Yes, I do know that. I've known that all along. You are God. That's why I'm coming to you. You see things are getting pretty tough here. Gas is so high! Bills are so high! Groceries are so high!! How can we keep up this way if things continue to get higher and higher.
GOD says: Matthew 6:25-33
25 Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing?
26 Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? 27 And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life? 28 And why are you anxious about clothing?
Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin, 29 yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. 30 But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is alive and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?
31 Therefore do not be anxious, saying, What shall we eat? or What shall we drink? or What shall we wear? 32 For the Gentiles seek after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them all. 33 But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. 34 Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.
English Standard Version
You're right. I knew I shouldn't worry. Especially about things like that. Lord, the world here is going crazy. So many people seem to have forgotten you and then there are so many who want your name removed from everything! Christians are being accused of hate whenever they stand up for your Word. People are so angry with Christians. So much anger!
GOD says: Isaiah 41:10
fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
English Standard Version
Thank you. I did need to be reminded of that. YOU are with me and YOU do strengthen me and help me. Thank you!
There's just one more thing... you know it's really been dry here. We're kind of worried about our well. What if it goes dry? And then there are all the farmers' crops, and all the gardens....
GOD says: Psalm 46:10, “Be still and know that I am God.”
I know. I'm so sorry for worrying again. Please strengthen my faith LORD. Water is such a basic and important need.
God says: James 5:17-18
17Elijah was a man with a nature like ours, and he prayed fervently that it might not rain, and for three years and six months it did not rain on the earth. 18 Then he prayed again, and heaven gave rain, and the earth bore its fruit.
(English Standard Version)
Prayer!
I need to talk to YOU more often!
Thank you so much my Heavenly Father for being so patient with all my worries. Please forgive me for worrying so much and not having faith in YOU. Please help my faith to become stronger. Thank you for always being there for me to talk with. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
Just A Little Talk With Jesus
I once was lost in sin but Jesus took me in
And then a little light from heaven filled my soul
It bathed my heart in love and wrote my name above
And just a little talk with Jesus made me whole
Refrain:
Now let us have a little talk with Jesus
Let us tell Him all about our troubles
He will hear our faintest cry
He will answer by and by
Now when you feel a little prayer wheel turning
And you know a little fire is burning
You will find a little talk with Jesus makes it right
Sometimes my path seems dreary without a ray of cheer
And then the cloud about me hides the light of day
The mists in me rise and hide the stormy skies
But just a little talk with Jesus clears the way
Refrain
I may have doubts and fears, my eyes be filled with tears
But Jesus is a Friend who watches day and and night
I go to Him in prayer, He knows my every care
And just a little talk with Jesus makes it right
Refrain
You will find a little talk with Jesus makes it right
Makes everything right
